GRAPEVINE SURF CLUB // FAQ

What if I don't know how to surf or paddle board?

New members who are interested in wakesurfing but don't know how are recommended to sign up for at least one private lesson in advance. Go to dfwsurf.com and click on Lessons. Paddle boarding, on the other hand, is very easy to do and does not require a lesson in advance.

Where and When are the meet-ups?

The meet-ups are based upon the preference of our members. Members will be asked to fill out a when and where preference sheet and we will use that info for scheduling. Most of the meet-ups will take place on either Lake Grapevine or Lake Lewisville. Other meet-up locations include Eagle Mountain Lake, Lake Ray Hubbard and White Rock Lake. Meet-ups are almost year round: from April to October.

Can I bring friends or family?

Yes, non-members can participate in a wakesurf or paddle session (up to 3 sessions) for $20. For boat surf it is $20 whether they are participating or just along for the ride.

How many people are allowed on the boat?

The boat is one of the biggest wakeboard boats around. Including the driver, it can fit up to 10 people comfortably.

What if more than 10 member show up for a wakesurf session?

To assure a spot, members are recommended to sign up for a meet-up on our website forum, otherwise, it is first come first serve.

Can I bring my own gear?

Yes
